BGSB vs Carr Hill
BGSB travelled to Liverpool St Helens to play their emerging schools plate final. They had beaten both teams that were in the cup final, earlier in the competition, and were strong favourites. However, BGSB started the game on the back foot and Carr Hill took the lead after a break away down the blind side. From the kick off BGSB pressed and after strong forward play Peter Dixon crashed over to make the score 5-5. Both teams traded points with a try from Jamie Shuell and the half time score was 10-10. BGSB started the second half the stronger and took the lead through a fantastic solo effort from Josh Jones. This was followed by a similar effort from Joey Ururuka which gave BGSB a 22-10 lead. Strong tackling and flowing offensive play lead to further tries from Josh Jones and Joey Ururuka. The game ended 39-10 and concluded a strong season for the U15s.
