Christopher Stanton, a Sixth Former at Bury Grammar School Boys, recently submitted an essay for the Peterhouse Vellacott History Essay Competition run by Peterhouse College, Cambridge. Christopher's essay was entitled 'History shows that there is one thing worse than being dominated by the United States and that is not being dominated by the United States' and was chosen as one of the Commended entries. The judges said that Christopher's work stood out for its 'clear style, level of research and originality of thought'.
