Pre-school and Kindergarten
(for boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 7)
The co-educational Pre-school and Kindergarten is a self-contained unit within the girls’ school. On the satisfactory completion of their Kindergarten course boys transfer to the boys’ Junior School.
Junior School
(for boys between the ages of 7 and 11)
Admission can be at 7+, 8+, 9+ or 10+ and is by entrance examination and interview held in January. Arrangements can be made for a boy to take the entrance examination and be interviewed at other times during the year. Places are offered in the expectation that at the age of 11 the boys will transfer to the Senior School. Although this transfer is not automatic – and the boys must, like external candidates, take the Senior School entrance examination – we would not offer a boy a place in the Junior School unless we thought that he had every chance of passing this examination.
Senior School
(for boys between the ages of 11 and 18)
Admission, which is by entrance examination and interview held in January, is usually at 11+, but arrangements can be made for a boy to be examined and interviewed at other times of the year and for entry into another year group. Applications are welcome from able boys who wish to join our Sixth Form. Entry is subject to interview and satisfactory GCSE grades. Details of fees and their payment, together with information about scholarships and bursaries, are provided in the prospectus folder.
