BGSB: Live at the BBC!
On Thursday 15th March 2012, our Third Form boys will be broadcasting the latest news stories live to the nation from the BBC's new headquarters at MediaCityUK in Salford.
Those of you who are up with the lark will see our special news crew on BBC Breakfast! A group of Third Form reporters have been invited by the BBC to prepare a LIVE news programme which will air between 9 and 10am on the red button! The BBC were so impressed with the boys' short broadcast on Bury's links to the London 2012 Olympics, they provided them with their own camera and sound crew.
To prepare the broadcast, the boys will interview internationally renowned Bury rock band Elbow, who are producing the music for the BBC Olympic Games coverage. They will also interview the official Olympic author, Robert Rigby, and First Former Matthew Donnelly, who has been chosen to carry the flame when the Olympic Torch roars through the North West.
Whilst our team at MediaCity are taking part in the live show, the boys from 3UD will be spending the morning gathering and reporting news in the LRC, which will be their News Room for the day. Their reports and accompanying photographs will be uploaded on to the senior school's website throughout the day, so stay tuned!
